Day 88

Our backyard looks like Augusta during the Master's. (Well, not exactly.)
Peace,

Day 87

"Ole paint peelin' and the rats are squeeling, well's gone dry as a bone....."
Does anyone remember this song by Mike Cross? I guess I'm showing my age.
This peeling paint on an old shutter sort of reminds me of rust....and you know how I feel about rust.

Day 86

Is it still called the Cooper River Bridge or do they call it the Ravenel Bridge?
Either way, very cool.

Day 85

Pretty little girl at my son's soccer tournament.

Day 84

The family that owned our house before we did had the yard on the home and garden tour. We have so many different colors and varieties of azaleas in our yard. I think this one is my favorite.

Day 82

So many people feel the number 13 is unlucky.
I happen to love the number 13 as my youngest son was born on the 13th.
However, the number 23 for me is a very unlucky number. I have people who are extremely close to me who have gotten married on the 23rd and later divorced. I know one couple that was married on the 23rd and divorced on the 23rd. I know a wonderful woman who was diagnosed with cancer on the 23rd, and a family who found their missing dog on the 23rd....but he was already dead.
But today does mark one year and one month of my being finished with radiation in order to help insure breast cancer does not recur. That's why I posted a picture of the front of Presbyterian Hospital. This is where I went for almost two months - 35 radiation treatments - and was taken care of by a wonderful team of people. From the valets who parked my car to the radiation technicians to my wonderful radiation oncologist I received the best care and I feel blessed that I went through my treatment at Presbyterian.

Wish the image was a little better but my cell phone can only do so much.
Hope your March 23rd was lucky!
Peace to all,
Stephanie

Day 67

I know some take these for weeds, but I think they are very pretty. I wish I could make our whole backyard violets. Think how pretty that would be in the late winter.
Peace,

Day 66

A once beloved Tonka truck in the remote land of lost and forgotten toys.
(Not to be confused with the land of misfit toys. They made it big with the whole "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" gig.)
Peace,

Day 65

Pretty.

Day 64

But daffodils are always a beautiful sign of Spring.

Day 62

I'm not quite sure what has happened to my blog.
What I think has happened is I've been so busy I would think I posted a new day but in actuality I just saved the new post as a draft. And because I've been so busy, I haven't looked at my blog.
So here goes several days worth of blogging. I may not finish it all tonight, but I will try again tomorrow.
Thanks for understanding...all you diehard-Stephanie W. Tomey Photography-blog-fans!

Part of some steps in my backyard.

Day 61

Another shopping day!
This is above the escalators in Neiman Marcus.
Wish the butterflies were real.

Peaceful.

Day 59

So I have a black-tie optional benefit to go to this coming Saturday night. I've been everywhere shopping for a pretty dress. Just for the fun of it, I went to the St. John section of Belk. As I was trying on in the dressing room I happened to look down and saw this sticker on the floor. Well, the eyes aren't what they use to be so when I first saw it I thought it said, "Personally examined by a moron."
Hey! At least they know their limitations, right?
Ha!
